In 2023, Hair•Color•Art began offering Hair Grants to youth ages 8-18 to help build youth confidence and affirm youth identities. With the support of AMAZING CLIENTS and The Downtown Ithaca Alliance's Mini Retail Grant program, this initiative raised $4500, allowing us to get cut and color services to 18 kids this year!

HCA feels everyone should have access to great hair and self-actualization regardless of financial or social status. So, for 2024, we are happy to say we are expanding the program to include people of any age who may need a little support to stay feeling great even when money is tight or nonexistent.

With this year's funding, we will be adding:

• Prom hair, makeup, and nails

• Gender-affirming cuts to anyone at any age

• Discounted hourly color service costs for those in need

• Full-service wash, cut, and style for those experiencing homelessness

• and more...
